Once the work site is cleared out, our crew begins installing any hardscape features. Whether that is an outdoor kitchen, paver patio or a retaining wall to hold back a slope, these are typically the first elements that are created.
If your outdoor space requires grading to correct a slope, general lawn leveling needs, this is generally performed shortly after the hardscapes have been built out. We may also haul in and grade out topsoil for the surface of your lawn and planting beds.
Next, an underground lawn irrigation system is installed. If a drip zone is going in to automate watering your plants or flowers, that will occur once shrubs are planted but prior to mulch or rock.
You’ll finally get to see your new lawn come to life at this phase. For most projects we’ll install sod. Some may opt for grass seed, but sod is the best way to get an instantly green lawn while also avoiding erosion concerns, waiting for seeds to germinate, etc. Once your new lawn is built out, the project is complete and you’ll have the best looking front and backyard in the neighborhood.
Depending on the exact scope of work for your project, this is our typical order of operations. Since each property is unique, this schedule may change.
